Starting TV

      You can start TV with a number of command-line options which are described in the following section. The usage is:

tv [-? | -help] [-shm] [-src] [-rc] [-v] [-s < ns > ] [-e < string > ]

Where:

-? | -help:
prints a list of allowed command-line options
-shm:
TV performs operations on spectra from shared memory

-src:
the evaluation of the systemwide setupfile site.tvrc is omitted

-rc:
the evaluation of the personal setupfile ~/.tvrc is omitted

-v:
information about the version is printed

-s < ns > :
sets the number of spectrabuffer from the default value of 16 to < ns >

-e < string > :
interprets the string and executes the commands
